MACINTOSH OPERATING SYSTEMS

CD-ROM I: Who Built America? From the Centennial Exhibition of 1876 to the Great War of 1914 operates only on the Mac Classic operating system.

CD-ROM II: Who Built America? From the Great War of 1914 to the Dawn of the Atomic Age in 1946 runs on all Mac operating systems. But, if you are using OS X (rather than System 9 or Classic), you must download the OS X-compatible version of the book reader, TK3, which is available for free from Night Kitchen.

PC OPERATING SYSTEMS

CD-ROM I: Who Built America? From the Centennial Exhibition of 1876 to the Great War of 1914 operates only on Microsoft Windows versions 3.1, 95, 98, and ME. It does not play on Windows NT 4.0, 2000, and XP.

CD-ROM II: Who Built America? From the Great War of 1914 to the Dawn of the Atomic Age in 1946 runs on all Microsoft Windows operating systems including Windows XP.



CD-ROM I: Who Built America? From the Centennial Exhibition of 1876 to the Great War of 1914 is based on the original textbook Who Built America? Working People and the Nation's Economy, Politics, Culture, and Society: From Conquest and Colonization Through Reconstruction published by Pantheon Books, ASIN: 0679726993. This book is now out of print and is replaced by a major revision: Who Built America? Volume 1: From Conquest and Colonization to 1877 published by Worth, ISBN 1-57259-302-4. The CD-ROM does not synchronize directly with the current Worth edition of the textbook, but still works well for classroom presentations and preparation.

CD-ROM II: Who Built America? From the Great War of 1914 to the Dawn of the Atomic Age in 1946 is based on Who Built America? Volume 2: From 1877 to Present, which is the current textbook edition published by Worth, ISBN 1-57259-303-2. The CD-ROM is entirely compatible with the Worth edition of the textbook.
